KIDS IN SPACE A space rock musical adventure for all ages
This summer, blast off with KIDS IN SPACE, an original space rock musical in development at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum with The Human Stage and School in Ashland, Oregon summer 2025.
The workshop will culminate into a public performance for friends and family on August 15, 16, and 17.
OPEN CALL AUDITIONS MAY 24. 1PM - 3PM
Come as you are, have a song to sing or you can sing "happy birthday" be prepared to read a few lines and move a bit. It will be fun and easy. We just want to meet you.
Parents please contact Ness Hopkins, Director with a text "audition" so we can have sense of how many kids will be attending. We will also take a photo and ask for proper contact info. Parents may stay for the whole audtion process. The OPEN CALL wont go more than an hour but just in case we are keeping a window between 1-3pm. JJ, 13 - leader of the pack, dreamer, brave and straightforward. Solo song!
Elijah, 11- younger brother to J.J. Playful, daring and sensitve.
Dayla - 12, clever, tough and precocious, she is closest to J.J.
Niles - 12/13 smartest kid in school, a walking encyclopedia, sometimes meloncholy.
Sophia - 13 sarcastic and enjoys breaking and rebuilding things with her hands.
Yoshi - 12 in her own world at times, loves video games and has flown a plain.
Rehearsal will begin July 8-August 8 at ScienceWorks Hands on Museum in Ashland OR. Performances August, 15,16 and 17 in Ashland Oregon Location TBD.
