Intellectual Oregon - Free College Program

There was a time in the US when there was a cost to attend a Public school. Only the wealthy could take advantage of such an important social service. And during that time there were those in congress who fought to keep it a paid service. Can you imagine if those in power still had their way? Where would the United States rank in the world on Education? At the bottom.

Believe it or not, there is still some in congress who have the archaic mind-frame of the past, that we must still pay for education...college. Can you imagine where we will stand in 50 years against other countries who offer free college if we continue to let these fools have their way?

Oregon will now be strongly suggesting a FREE 2-year college course immediately after high-school. Grades 13 & 14. All young adults to enroll. Focusing on critical thinking, fact-checking, life skills and job training that are being used in our daily lives. Though not mandatory, our administration will be strongly encouraging it

The Importance of Intellectual Oregon - FREE College program

1. Those who attend college are statistically proven to stay out of the prison system, live longer and healthy lives and have less mental illness's.

2. Starting off workers with enormous student debt is the greatest innovation that capitalism ever came up with.

3. Those who do not attend college will less often fact-check a politician and are more likely to believe whatever is spoken without doing research and confirming the truth. Those who do not attend college will less often fact-check their favorite news source and will more easily believe a propaganda-based article or opinion at face value. No critical thinking skills.

4. It will be harder to fill the ranks of the military with poor people if college is free.

5. Those who attend college have been proven to have more prosperous lives. Better jobs and more opportunities occurs. Safety and security is more easily obtained. Your financial well being creates less stress and more happiness.

Overall, the huge cost savings of investing in our young adults higher education now far outweighs the costs of not investing and then paying on the back end in so many ways. It makes complete financial sense and it's the smart thing to do.
