Youth education is the key to end homelessness.

This will be our main focus. A strong educational background has proven to get more people off of the streets and in good paying jobs and living in healthy environments.

Education is a priority and keeping our young adults to continue with college after high-school will be a priority. Making trade-jobs easier to learn about in school. More focus on Industry jobs instead of useless skills that go know-where.

By housing the homeless and providing free drug treatment to the drug addicts, we can reduce the cost of in and out patient to emergency rooms and the burden of placing them in jails for being homeless. The state will no longer have to spend $1,000,000,000.00 a year cleaning the streets after the homeless or cleaning the needles that the  drug addicts leave behind when they move from one place to another.

The same amount spent cleaning this mess can be used to help them become a productive member of society or allow them to live with dignity.

We also need to create a combination of more affordable housing, creative housing ideas, creating more better paying jobs, mental illness treatment and ending the drug epidemic that is draining peoples wallets and their minds.

We will have a fully equipped and knowledgable team in each county ready to go and take on this preventative challenge. Let's not wait to treat them, let's save millions and stop them before they need treatment.

Let's start one by one and explain how to tackle prevention.

#1. Affordable housing: A. Our number one goal is to create more very affordable housing specifically near major transit hubs. This is the most effective way for thousands of carless people to safely get across town to get to work, school or needed shopping. Well built, comfortable "Tiny Homes" can be made very affordably and in large scale. And building these tiny homes in large scale will create a whole new industry of job growth in itself. B. Also of importance is expanding growth and access to permanent RV parks, especially in the rural areas. Creating these on a larger scale then what is being offered now will create more shelter. Citizens can park their RV, van or even for those having no choice by living out of their car. A well maintained bathroom complete with showers and laundry will be provided for proper hygiene.

C. We will also greatly expand housing for low income students by creating a Senior&Student Work/Live program. This program focuses on the thousands of students who are focusing on school and not able to make an income. Giving them a private room in the home of a senior in exchange of household assistance is a healthy way to mutually benefit all parties.

Thousands can benefit from that. It's a win-win for everyone.

#2. Create better paying jobs: Oregon will now provide a good paying job with livable wages to anyone who wants one. Apply HERE online and we will work together to find something that best fits your skills. Everything from the Clean-Energy sector, Transportation, Forestry, Maintenance, is currently in demand.

#3. Mental illness treatment: Creating easier access and more available mental health providers is our first step in helping those who need it. It has been proven then when a state allocates a higher percentage of the states spending budget towards quality mental health treatment and services they see a lower percentage of mental health related costs and state expenses on the back end. Mental health prevention is the best way to keep people off the streets and in homes. Once again, investing in our people now greatly saves lives and saves a huge amount of money on the back end.

#4. Ending he drug epidemic. Our "Who Wants To Become a Millionaire" program will help to greatly reduce the drug epidemic throughout our great state. We will notice a drop in available drugs on the street and overdoses in our hospitals. And like our mental illness treatment program, we will provide easier access and more available treatment centers.

#5. Protecting renters before they get pushed out on the street for any variety of reasons is key.

Evictions due to loss of job should not ever have to happen. Support the Tenants Bill of Rights.

Preventative will, in the long run, save our state millions. Millions of dollars in savings but more importantly thousands of lives will be better off. Healthier, happier, safer and more prosperous.

But let's talk about the homeless in the immediate. For the current situation we need to bring the homeless off the streets and into a home. We will start off by creating and implementing our affordable housing overview.

If they're homeless we need to put a roof over their heads in order to help get them back on their feet.

We will provide shelter/housing for the homeless and treat them while living in that temporary home and not while on the streets. Treating homeless while they are still living on the street will go nowhere and it will just be money stupidly spent. These people need a foundation to start from.

We will help to provide a well paying job of $15 per hour.

Work could be large-scale city and environmental clean up. Public Art maintenance. Subsidized housing improvements, Transportation, Forestry maintenance, sheltered animal enrichment. We can help top provide lunch and transportation to nurture them back on their feet.

Also, we will give services to the homeless once inside their home, including drug treatment, mental treatment, transportation and childcare. We will work on mental illness by providing in home services. Including basic "friendship" time.
